Introduction
Hello, there, I'm Margaret Collins. Welcome to "Getting Stuff Done".
This short masterclass on time and energy management evolved out of my "Out of Overwhelm Route Map".
I realised that many of us start off in a situation of overwhelm, we have too much to do and too few resources to meet the demands being placed upon us.
Our first reaction to this is often to work longer and harder. We try to burn the midnight oil, we pull an all-nighter and work into the wee small hours and we manage to meet the deadline, we scrape in by our teeth and we're probably exhausted the next day, but we've done it. This is often like putting a plaster on a deeper wound, better than nothing but not a solution.
I wanted to offer you something much better than that.
I want to help you work smarter, to prioritise your workload more effectively and have a kitbag full of different tools to use for getting stuff done.
It's also essential that you understand how to manage your energy along with all the prioritisation strategies so you don't head towards burnout so yes, we go there too.
I'm a biologist by training who loves to know "how does it work" so I looked at how we can work in tune with our brains to be more effective in everything we do.
So here it is. In less than 2 hours, "Getting Stuff Done".
Please do dip in as and where you need it. The content is ordered in a logical flow and you can start at the beginning and work your way through to the end.
However, if you're already clear on exactly what your number one priority is, you might want to jump in at the "Working smarter" piece.
If you're not so clear on what your priorities are, jump into "Choices, choices" and learn different ways of making those choices about which are your priorities.
If you're simply looking to make everything work a little bit better, then tune into the section on "Thinking Differently" because the way that we use our brain, the way that we think about our work really does affect our relationship with it and its impact on us.
All of these are goodies and all of them are yours. Jump in and enjoy.
You can mark each lesson as done so you can keep track of your progress.
