Would you like to be known for your job title or role?

Would you prefer to be remembered for your skill set, your passion or your interests?

Many of us would want to be known for the contribution or the difference that we make, for our expertise, for our interest. Some of us struggle to understand this and fail to articulate it well to others.

Think of a few different ways to introduce yourself in the networking environment you're likely to find yourself in. Try them out with a trusted friend, so that it becomes more comfortable, and flows easily from your lips.

And yes, I do mention "elevator speeches".
