In summary, be aware that the process that you're about to engage in, is taking that keen student and creating a colleague.
Treat them with respect. Encourage them. Recognize and develop their strengths. Provide feedback and guidance. Prepare them for what comes next.
Throughout the programme, it's your responsibility as a supervisor, to be aware of the administrative guidelines, the Codes of Practice, and the particular timelines and milestones to guide them through the programme.
